Advantages: Lovely, clean, and tidy Disadvantages: expensive
...Only stayed in this hotel for 2 nights, but it was lovely and clean and tidy, the en suite was unbelievably clean, the towel were soft and still warm.
On arrival to the hotel we were greated by very friendly and welcoming staff who all spoken such good englidh (one of my concerns as i speak no german at all!). we were early for our room so decided to get luch in the bar, which was beautifully cooked, and very cheap (£2 odd) and the Berlin beer served there was also very nice!
There is entertainment on there most nights, while we were there there was a caberet, and a singer on, all which really involved the crowd in the bar.
the breakfast the following morning was lovely, included all the normal items for a german breakie (bread, cheese etc) but they also had sausage and scambled eggs, which for me was a huge bonus, prefering...

Advantages: Brilliant pool Disadvantages: Music played at the pool
...Myself and my better half stayed in this hotel a couple of years ago and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We were booked in on a self catering basis to the apartment area of the aparthotel. The apartments side of the aparthotel were only built a year or so before we stayed and as such I shall assume that all remains the same.

Our transfer to the hotel was plane odd! We spent the entire journey worrying because we couldn't see anything...

Advantages: A magnificent city...too many good things to mention Disadvantages: Not many..we just didn't have enough time to see it all.
...companies such as Sony and Daimler have built ultra modern offices here and other businesses are relocating here, to make it the centre of Berlin), through Checkpoint Charlie and the Brandenburg Gate. There is a museum at Checkpoint Charlie, but we didn’t have time to visit.
There is only one small section of the wall remaining and I was surprised to discover that this is now a listed monument. It was very poignant to see it and to remember that many people died trying to cross a border that we were now able to just walk across. The remainder of the wall is marked by a strip of cobbles, two wide, running along the roads and pavements. This was again a strange feeling to just step across and be stood one moment in the East and the next in the West.
There are so many amazing buildings and many reminders to the past of the city, all...

Stayed in City Pension Berlin for 2 nights in December 2005 with another two friends. Three of us booked a triple room and the shower is in the room but toilet outside. We paid Euro 53 only (this is very good value).
53 Euros is cheaper than youth... more
