I love Marks and Spencer; with their Per Una range being my favourite. Per Una, designed by George Davies, was launched in 2001. The range is fashionable and stylish. I have bought several pairs of Per Una jeans and find they fit well and keep their shape. The jeans cost Ģ25 a pair, a very reasonable price tag!

Marks and Spencer can trace its origins back to 1884 when Michael Marks, a Russian born Polish refugee, formed a partnership with Tom Spencer. Marks and Spencer has gone from strength to strength and today sells not only clothes and food but finance too. However I really want to look at the store and what's on offer.

A few years ago Marks and Spencer went through a difficult time. They were accused of being frumpy. Customers were voting with their feet and the profits plummeted. I think the company have worked hard to change direction and now offer fashion for all ages at affordable prices.
Marks and Spencer also sells a good range of homewear including furniture. I recently ordered a cabinet for my bathroom. It was delivered well packed and on time. The quality was excellent. I have always bought Marks and Spencer towels too and again have always been pleased.
Marks and Spencer have a good range of toys. I particular like their puzzles.
Marks and Spencer food has always had a good reputation for being of high quality. It is more expensive than most other supermarkets but I have always been impressed with the quality of food I have bought. My local Marks and Spencer has recently started to sell food made by other manufacturers such as marmite and cif! I'm not sure where this idea came from but I find it odd! If I want to buy marmite and Cif I will go to a cheaper supermarket. I like to buy unique Marks and Spencer food from their food hall.
Marks and Spencer has a well-deserved reputation for excellent customer service. I really like the fact that you have 90 days to return any unwanted item of clothing should you change your mind. You can also order on line and return any unwanted item to your local store. The changing rooms are well managed and staff have always been happy to fetch alternative sizes or colours when I am trying on clothes.
Marks and Spencer is one of the UK's most prolific traders. Despite recent declines in profit, the store has introduced new lines and revamped many of their stores.
Many of the suppliers have also saw the effect of this - Daks Simpson has recently incurred job losses as a result. Additionally, the refurbishment of one of the stores in Glasgow saw the demise of a medium-sized market-style enterprise (see my review on Virginia Galleries for more details) ... ...attempting (and failing) to attract a younger audience. It has refreshed its image, but it is fighting a losing battle. The garments are of fair quality, but the range is lacking imagination. The pricing is average and the store staff are helpful. The food compares favourably to other supermarkets and the range can be extensive in larger stores. ...

Advantages: good quality products Disadvantages: none
Marks and Spencers have a few branches within Dublin, the main branch being on Grafton St.
It is set in a very old building and has 4 floors, a food centre on the lower ground floor - it has a separate entrance as well as accessible within the shop. It has also a complete food to go now and it offers snacks like soup, hot sandwiches as well as paninis and the usual array of drinks.
The shop also has an expresso bar on the ground floor and more recently a roof top restaurant offering good cuisine at reasonable prices.
The shop also has all the old favourites of a department shop, good clothing at nice prices.
The staff are friendly in all stores but the one on grafton st has excellent service.
Worth a look. ...
Advantages: Easily accessable, with plenty of facilities. Disadvantages: Everything is packed into one place, so if you want a wider range, then shop that specialises in a particular range is a bit bettr.
Whatever will Marks & Spencer think of next? Food, Clothes, toys, home, and hot food. Yes, hot food. It might sound like a cheap way to make more money, but when all the restaraunts on Princes Street are full, or you just need a quick snack, then the food is excellent! You can buy sandwiches, pizzas, sausage rolls, anything for a picnic at the Princes Street Gardens! (Providing it's good weather, of course!) In fact, most stores have an area in the shop for picnic food, complete with plastic knifes and forks.
Clothes. Marks & Spencer do clothes for everyone. School Uniform, (Including Blazers) men, women, babies, chilren, teenagers, you name it! The clothing is good quality, and good value for monay, too.
Food. The food shops are a little small compared to supermarkets like Tesco and Safeway. So, obviously, the amount ...
Advantages: great variety of food, great clothes, conviniant, friendly staff Disadvantages: maybe a little far out, not local

They have a great variet of clothes which caters for people of all ages, sizes and different styles.
They also sell a great variety of different styles uniforms for the kids when its time for them to go back to school.... theyre also great value.
They have a brilliant and stylish underwear section and also cater for the larger busted women at great prices which as ladies with bigger busts will know, are very hard to find!
its very clean and family friendly, and is laid out very well.

And when all that shopping becomes to much they ...
