...to Turkey. The beach in Marmaris is ok, theres sun loungers everywhere that you can use, but you need to pay for them. Theres restraunts / bars / shops right next to the beach so you dont need to walk far to get a drink or some food. The annoying thing is that when your lying on the beach [especially women] the waiters from the restraunts constantly pester you into buying things from their bar. ...walking about the beach in Marmaris on her own is guaranteed to get hassled and it is really annoying because they dont give up and will try at anything. The nightlife in marmaris is great, theres loads of bars to choose from. One bar that i really liked, i think it was called the Three Bells, but i cant remember tbh, had the waiters just get up and dance and compete with the bar accross the road. Advantages: cheap friendly an nice weather
Disadvantages: people try to sell you everything, even there wives

i went on a 2 week jolly up with friends last summer in marmaris,we made the mistake of thinking we could go to turkey to experience a differnt culture an get away from england but turns out they want to try to make us feel at home an create an english atmosphire wich is good for the party night life but not so good for gettin to see turkey for what it is and i would advice if you want a site seein culture holiday in turkey to not go to marmiris ...

marmaris is a excellent resort

Advantages: plenty to do great nightlife
Disadvantages: you wont get much of a peaceful holiday here

marmaris is a excellent resort with plenty to do.great for shopping.lots of day trips at resonable prices.if you like quiet nights there is also some bars/resturants that you can go.also the resort is clean.icmeler has a nicer beach it only cost you 1.75 lira to go by dolmbus but taxi boat is 7.50 lira.great choice of bar/resturants & clubs.market is on a thursday icmeler market is a wednesday i like icmeler market better.make sure you barter lots ...

The first it called famous fun pub & restaurant, in here you can get a 5 course meal for 13 lira (about £5) this includes, any soup,any chicken or meat dish (excuding fillet & t-bone steak) garlic bread, fresh fruit platter, and a beer or soft drink. real value for money! Famous is just across from art marmaris hotel, the next is in icmeler to get there take the dolmus and go to a place called ...
...bit of a character in marmaris almost all locals say they are married to a scot or know someone who is scottish but this guy is the real thing so go to the hobgoblin you wont be disappointed.The dolmus to icmeler cost appx of 1.75 lira (about .60p) and is well worth the experience so to anyone thinking of going to turkey give these places a try you will pleased ...

One in Izmir, one in Antalya, one in Istanbul and the local airport is Dalaman International Airport, this is the one which we flew into.
