Swallow hotel (Kirlangic)

Advantages: Close to town centre and market
Disadvantages: not allowed own drink into rooms. No air conditioning

It was last year that my wife and I stayed here. The hotel name was in Turkish which was called "The Kirlangic". This means swallow. The Hotel sits on the main road into the town and right opposite one of the entrances to the market which is on every Monday. So if you have a room facing the road you will be awake early (4 oclock ish). At the time only some rooms had air conditioning. The rooms are small in comparison to a lot of hotels in the area ...
...and fresh. I found the staff friendly, even more so if you speak a bit of Turkish (but dont let them know its only a few words, it keeps then on thier toes) they feel you are making an effort. You are close to all the bars and shops where you need a good haggling technique. The grounds of the hotel has a pool which is big enough to sit around and sunbath. There is an outside bar, plus tables to sit at for you meals. We found the food quite good. ...

Bargain Holiday

Advantages: Peaceful location, cheap to eat and drink out
Disadvantages: Kind of pricey in the hotel

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for 1 week in June 2007. We got it for £290 for the two of us self catering. It takes about 1 and half hours from Dalaman airport to the hotel. The hotel is located in the Armutalan area at the top of a steep hill which maybe unsuitable for older people or people with disabilities. The hotel itself is quite large and has a mid sized pool with a bar and restaurant. It also has a shop located near the reception area ...
...you really want one! The rooms are quite big. They have a kitchen area, bedroom, bathroom and living room. The balcony is huge and when we didnt go out anywhere we just sat sunbathing there as it was a total suntrap. It is in a very peaceful location and at the bottom of the hill you will find a few restaurants and bars. Disadvantages: Total

What can I say! This was a holiday that was a disaster from the start. Sun Express Airlines - Unsmiling, unhelpful, glum looking lot. We paid more for wider seats with more legroom. OK on the way out but on the way back we we given row 1 A, B and C with a bulkhead in front of us so no legroom. Also these seats were not even as wide as the seats behind us because they had the tray in the armrest. Tried to remonstrate with a hostess and even showed ...
...sit down and shut up. The Antique Palace was the pits. We were given a bill of just over GBP200 for the a/c and safe box as we arrived. The room had not been cleaned and had stains on the floor. The a/c control was hanging off the wall in one bedroom. The bathroom was horrendous. We actually cleaned the room and bathroom as best we could before we went to bed. Angora Hotel

Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: repititive food, dirty curpet in the room, old furniture

I have been living in Angora Hotel with my husband from 30 july to 06 August 2008. This is an officially 2* hotel. It is a pretty old hotel. The only good thing is that it is cheap and suitable for those who want going out rather than spending time in the hotel.Our room was furnished with old furniture specially the bed was old and not quite comfortable. The conditioner and refrigerator worked but refrigerator turned off automatically when we left ...
...while we were in. Toilet and shower were clean but shower didn't have any curtain! the carpet was not clean at all so it is better to be in your sandals all the time. There is no hot water once the night comes as the hot water is supplied by the sun power but I took cold shower and I liked it as I had got much sun tan during the day so it didn't buther me at all. Club Antique Palace, Marmaris

Advantages: Clean and Tidy, Decent food, Friendly staff and good for family's
Disadvantages: Fair bit from main centre

...and we stayed in the Club Antique Palace Apartments. From our first opinions they looked tidy and good from the outside and inside the complex which was good, also the staff were quite friendly which was another plus. When got to our rooms they were pretty basic for a single bdr apart but never the less they were clean and tidy.
