The Cape of great hotel!

Advantages: Great location
Disadvantages: Not that family friendly

The Radisson SAS Waterfront was a great hotel situated on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, with views of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, Robben Island and Table Mountain. The hotel was just on the edge of the town centre. Most hotels are located around the Victoria and Alfred waterfront complex and, as such, have particularly steep prices. The Radisson was walking distance to the V&A waterfront but did not suffer from extortionate prices (our room came in at about £70 a night). It had a sizeable car park and was well situated for driving down the coast of Cape Town. At the time of booking, we were not offered a choice on rooms so ended up with a basic room only. This was fine but we missed out on views of the harbour that could be seen from rooms at the back of the hotel. The room was spacious (approx 36 sq meters) with a king size ...

Review of Radisson SAS Hotel Waterfront, Cape Town

A great Paris hotel

Advantages: Perfect location, excellent access to Metro and sights.
Disadvantages: Bedroom doors bang loudly when they shut.

a no food policy in the hotel. This hotel benefits from excellent access to the Eurostar and Thalys rail services. The main tourist attractions such as Sacré Coeur, Opéra, Louvre, Place de la Concorde, Les Halles, the Stade fe France and the famous Parisian department stores (Galeries Lafayette and Printemps) are just a few metro stops away. Traveling can be quite expensive if you don't book ahead and find the right pass. For guests who like nightlife there is a good choice of various theatres, cinemas and discotheques, and of course lots and lots of bars. Hotel Facilities * Breakfast room * Disabled facilities * Lobby * Parking facilities * Photocopying facilities * Reception * Safe deposit box * Tour desk I've never had to see the parking facilities as I always travel on the Eurostar and just walk around, so it ...

Review of Relais de Paris Lafayette, Paris

De Vere Grand Harbour Hotel, Southampton

Advantages: Fantastic rooms, friendly staff, great location
Disadvantages: some of the other guests seem to think their a bit special!

be booked over the hotel groups website, by calling a central reservations number, by calling the hotel directly and most likely through your locale travel agents alothough i wouldn't recommend this as it will work out much more expensive that contacting the hotel directly. I would definatly recommend a visit to this hotel especially for a special occassion, the staff are always friendly, helpful and willing to go the extra mile, for example several times they've made food for me not on the menu just because i enquired as to whether they did do it or not. Also if you have an american express card you can often get deals on buy one get one night free in de vere hotels, and sometimes a free upgrade (the reason i got junior suites both time!) ...
