I was given the chance to attend a conference earlier this year in Manila. I am from the Philippines, but I do not get this once in a lifetime opportunity to stay in lavish five star hotels. So whenever I get the chance, I always grab it. I am from the heart of the Philippines, so I need to take a 45 minute plane ride to Manila. Anyways, to begin with I am not an expert in describing the interiors or the decorations of the hotel. I am not an interior decorator so pardon me if I am just going to base my reviews on what I have experienced in this hotel.

The Marriott hotel is just a few minutes away from the airport, so if you are a tourist you can just ride an airport taxi to bring you to the place. When I arrived at the place, I was greeted by friendly guest relations officers. At the entrance, you will be required to place your bag in a conveyor for inspection and scanning. Believe me it is for your own good and to maintain the safety of the place. To some it may be inconvenient, but I wouldn’t mind for I believe they are just doing their jobs in order to give their guests the utmost customer service.

I was impressed by what I have seen inside the hotel. As compared to the other hotels that I have stayed in Manila, I will definitely recommend this to those who are planning to visit our country. Their employees are more than willing to help you with your luggage and at the same time they are very courteous and accommodating. I was very excited to enter my room. Actually I shared a room with a friend. It was really luxurious for the two of us. The area is huge enough for two people. The decorations inside the room are really great. I will have to say that I really loved the bathroom. You can have a relaxing bath while watching your favorite shows in the television. Another great thing about this hotel is the location. You can just walk outside and shop.

I have the chance to talk to other foreign guests and they are really satisfied with their stay in Marriott. I have even met one in the elevator saying that this hotel is convenient for those who are trying to catch their flight. Well, how about the food? Well you can avail of their great cuisines. You will definitely love to try the different delicacies that they offer. You can even ask for some pinoy food so that you will have the taste of our culture.

During my three day stay in the hotel, I can say that I have never encountered any problem. I hope that someday I can get the chance to stay in Marriott again. But when you have the possibility to visit our wonderful country the Philippines, then you know where exactly to stay. This is your home away from home.
