The room came with all the normal facilities you would expect from a 4 start hotel - hairdryer, iron, safe, satellite TV and high speed internet access.
The hotel has an indoor swimming pool, sauna and gym facilities which we didn't use, but it certainly is a really good feature. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel either, but the restaurant areas looked really good with a varied menu as well.

Our room was spotless and looked out over the cathedral and college green. The room was really large for a standard room and the king size bed was sooo comfortable! The bathroom was also very nice and clean with a really deep bath which was nice for some indulgence!

The general style of the hotel is Victorian - lots of fairly elaborate decor, polished marble etc. but it doesn't feel old or staid at all which I think is important with this style.
One thing that really made the stay enjoyable was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They were truely fantastic - nothing was too much trouble. The hotel also has some lovely bar and lounge areas.
I cannot recommend the breakfast highly enough, it was a buffet style with a full english option, all kinds of breads and pastries, about 12 different kinds of fresh fruit, and all the continental hams, cheeses, smoked salmon etc.
In terms of location within Bristol City Centre, then you couldn't really get a better location. It is situated on College Green at the bottom of Park Street, so you are only a 5-10 minute walk from the Whiteladies Road, and 5 minutes from the main shopping area.
This was well worth the money and I do hope to visit Bristol again sometime - if nothing else but to stay in this hotel!
Advantages: Good range of activities, very attractive areas, lots of fun to be had Disadvantages: other areas are very dirty and run down
history to life. Again, a good place to take the kids.
Bristol has many other attractions, but these are my favourite.
Eating out:
Another thing I enjoy doing - and Bristol has a huge number and variety of restaurants to discover!
The soil association hold its organic food festival here every year and there is also a farmers market every Wednesday.
Bristol also has a number of award winning restaurants such as the Hotel Du Vin and Bistro and The MarriottRoyal, both are also good hotels to stay in while visiting Bristol. A lot of the restaurants are situated around the centre on the streets which lead off of it such as park street, whiteladies road, Baldwin street and Corn Street. There really is something for everyone from American grills, Indian, Chinese, Italian, Mexican, Thai, African, Spanish and more!
Bristol is also the home ...
