Spain's Costa del Sol has been a sunshine playground for getting on 50 years and is still one of the best loved places for sun, sea and sand in mainland Europe. Coming from a series of fishing villages, the coastal towns developed wildly and some would say too much, and a correction in the last 10 or so years has seen efforts to demolish some of the overcrowded 2-star type accommodation in favour of lower density but ... ...the short stay visitor and the villas and apartments for the longer stay guest, there is a demand for a cross between the two, and this demand is the reason for the Marriott Playa Andaluza, a Marriott Vacation Club property. Whisper it quietly (the words are not welcome) but there are elements of timeshare here.
