Central Park, Peterborough.

Advantages: An oasis in the city
Disadvantages: None that I know

I have lived in Peterborough for 37 years, and the Central Park has always been the place to take your children, photos of the park go back to Victorian times and the actual layout has not changed since then. For one it cannot get any bigger as it is in the older central part of the city with buildings all around, though this does not distract from the Park itself. The Park is one large circle with a very wide road around the outside. There are four gates, entry points to the Park and about ten yards in an inner footpath that goes around the Park. The four gates all have footpaths that lead to the centre which is a large flower bed that has a willow tree, this my husband tells me was planted some time in the 60's as there used to be a band stand on the same spot. It seems that the demise of the band caused the band stand to be ...

Review of Central Park, Peterborough

Central Saint Martins - Foundation Review 09.

Advantages: - you learn some important aspects that are vital for your degree.
Disadvantages: - Totally unfair UK:International and Student:Tutor time

Central Saint Martins is known to be a good and thorough art school. The building was in a nice location, the workshops satisfactory consisting of : Wood, Metal, Ceramics, Stitch and Print. Within Foundation the classes split into - Fine Art: Painting, sculpture, contextual studies, video & photography - 3DD: Architecture, product design, jewellery, spatial design - Design: Textiles, Fashion, Fashion Communication, Graphics, Illustration, Visual Communication. My first opinion is that it was enjoyable and you get to experience most of every pathway. What was disappointing is that generally, everything seems rushed and you get a month to experience ALL of these pathways. Be warned that most of the course is rushed. When placed into your pathway (Which is a stressful process much like entering for your BA) Firstly ...

Coombe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park

Advantages: Interesting
Disadvantages: Terrain, Cash only for many things once inside

Coombe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park This has all the makings of a great family day out, but I will begin with negatives first. The overflow car park is in a hilly field opposite the attraction, on a busy drizzly rainy bank holiday day like the day we went, you might end up with a couple of issues trying to get your vehicle out if the weather turned into torrential rain. However there are quite a few helpful parking attendants, some driving diggers around. The attendants are however very organized in getting people parked, but you could end up a few hundred meters away from the attraction and on a grassy hill, so bare this in mind if you are coming with a pregnant wife, young children who need push chairs, or infirm elderly relative, and on a family bank holiday outing you might have all three. I am also afraid navigating ...
