Hey Everyone. My name is Cheryl-Ann but my friends call me C-A. I'm 20 years old and I have the most amazing Fiance in the world who I love to bits. I also have a gorgeous baby boy.

General: Marwell Zoological Park is a large Zoo in Winchester which covers 100 acres of land. There are over 100 different animals which are all seperated into categories such as Africa & Amphibians. There are all types of animals from Bats to Penguins & of course the star attraction are the big cats, personally my favourite is the Tiger. The best bit about the park is that the animals look happy and well cared for. It's a great family day out for all ages & if you have little ones or just don't feel like walking there is a train that goes around the whole park, which is beautiful I might add oh and it's free!!
Opening Times etc: Marwell is open everyday of the year except Christmas Day and costs £14.50 for Adults & £10.50 for children which includes a donation of £1.50 which you don't have to pay if you don't want to.
How to get there: If you are travelling by car you should visit their website for direction, if you are travelling by train the closest station is Eastleigh from whcih you will have to get the shuttle bus straight to the park, I think this leaves at about 10am or if you want it's a 2 1/2 mile walk not best if you have kids though.

An ok review but I would have liked to have read a bit more about the animals and their enclosures and the layout of the zoo. Jamie :-)

I've never even heard of it despite living in London! I might just give it a go- it seems reasonably priced too. Sounds much more pleasant than heading into dreary central London at the weekends!

Advantages: Lots to see and do, a great day out for all the family, suitable for disabled visitors Disadvantages: Slightly uphill in places, can get quite busy during the summer holiday period
