Advantages: Easy watching, some good acting and great vocal performances Disadvantages: Acting from some of the cast is a bit over-the-top
This is one of those films that nobody else seems to have heard of and - up until a few years ago - neither had I. Indeed, I have my passion for 1980s pop music to thank for my knowledge that this film even exists. For reasons I don't even remember, I came across a website listing the lyrics to Tears For Fears' mid-eighties hit Everybody Wants To Rule The World and whichever page I viewed mentioned a variety of films, TV programmes and albums that the song featured in. One of these was Peter's Friends . . . so I admit it, I first watched this film because one of my favourite songs was part of the soundtrack! (I can sometimes be a bit more shallow than other people believe . . . actually there are quite a few 1970s/1980s songs in here, which I think suits the mood of the film.)

Advantages: Great Dr Seuss Book Disadvantages: None
Dr Seuss has written countless numbers of fun books for children and this one is Green Eggs and Ham.
The cover of the book is Green with a red and white stripped banner down the left hand side and a picture of a yellow and white cat holding a plate of green eggs and ham and the title in white letting on the right hand side. The back cover is also green and has a paragraph about the book written at the top.
The story starts with a funny creature called Sam holding a banner telling us he is Sam-I-am. We meet another cat like creature who tells us he does not like that Sam-I-am. Sam asks this creature if he likes green eggs and ham, he says he does not like them. Sam goes on pestering him about liking green eggs and ham and taking him to funny places asking him if he would like them there.
Would he give in and try the green eggs ...
Advantages: Cheap and very very tasty Disadvantages: none for the price
ASDA frequently have their Kiev's on offer and they do have a decent selection. One of the options is the Cheese and Ham variety, which is one of my favourites. When on offer they are £1.00 for two decent sized Kievs. By decent sized I mean they are about the same size as your average Cornish pasty. For those unfamiliar with this measurement let me expand, they are about 4.5 inches long domed with the max dome height of about 3 inches.
25 - 30 minutes in a moderate oven and you have yourself a tasty dish. The chopped and shaped chicken which forms the packaging for the cheese and ham, is about a quarter of an inch thick and is quite firm. This means it keeps its shape well when heated, some I have found are not so tightly packed and fall to pieces once heated. The outer casing requires to be of significant strength since ...
