Review of Mauritius or Maldives?

Yet another review on Mauritius...Quatres Bornes, the posh town!

Advantages: Nice clean place!
Disadvantages: not as popular as Port-Louis (the main capital)

During my stay in Mauritius, a local friend of ours took us to Quatres-Bornes so I could pick up some paperwork from my travel agency. Mauritius is in fact separated into districts, and each district is made of either of towns or villages. Quatres-Bornes is found at the very centre of the island, in the district of Plaines Wilhems. It can be considered as one of the main towns in the island- even if it cannot be compared to the City of Port-Louis. ...

Since we were staying in the northern part of the island, I would say that it took us around one hour by car to reach the town. Sailing to Paradise

Advantages: Gorgeous weather, lovely food, cheap day out, being in the sun

Water World!

Advantages: Amazing experience, great price, once in a lifetime thing!
Disadvantages: Not for those afraid of water lol

...and that is a Walking Underwater Experience. I love being in the water, and the thought of being in deep water, in an exotic island, amongst the fishes sounded like paradise to me. Therefore I was thrilled when I went to Grand Baie and they told me that they offered it as a trip! I instantly booked my place, and had to wait another week before I had the chance to go "under the sea"! As I just mentioned above, my Underwater Walking event happened ...
...Katamaran and of course the Underwater Walking. You book these trips through local guides who you can easily identify walking along the beach telling tourists about their trips. They then book you into a slot for few days later provided that you have a time and date convenient for you. Ils aux Cerfs

Advantages: Absolutely beautiful, great scenery, good watersports activities, great restarurant - a great day out
Disadvantages: Since this is such a beautiful place, there are no disadvantages whatsoever - just go and see it

This is a small island just off one of the world's truly great hotels - One & Only Le Touessrok. You get to this small island by hopping on a boat for the short journey from the mainland (about 5 mins). Once there, you will be dazzled by the pristine beach, the blue lagoon, and the wonderful views over the island of Mauritius itself.
