Should be called Honeymooners Paradise
Advantages: Very quiet and romantic Disadvantages: A little expensive
Firstly I would not rate paradise cove as 3 star hotel. This is up there on 4/5. It is not quite 5 star but the quality is there to be seen.
It is set in enclosed grounds with a private (man made) beach. The views from the rooms is stunning, however some rooms have Palm tress obstructing you line of sight.
It is the perfect place to go on Honeymoon (most of the clients are honeymooners). The staff are very friendly and always looking to help. They ... ...the little bit of personal touch to the whole experience. The food is well prepared and meals are good. There is usually a set menu with a few choices, however if you talk to the staff in the morning they will see what they can do if you request (I stayed 14 days..requested on 12 of them!). Breakfast is nice and varied, having a vairety of fresh fruits, choice of cerelas and breads. Hot breakfast is also served in the form of bacon and tailored omlette. ...

Le coco Hotel
Advantages: Good Food Disadvantages: Large and shabby
...a tropical island.
The le Coco Beach hotel is situated on its own white beach perfectly clean and manicured each morning.
The hotel is only a 3 star hotel and its fair to say, showing its age.
We had a room overlooking the beach it was clean and the sheets and towels were changed each day.
the bathroom was a big dissapointment mold on the tiles and fitting falling off.
The hotel did do there bestto rectify the problems however it did take the ... ...were going to upgrade to a superior bungalow, but overall the room with its view was the better option.
our package was all inclusive and i am glad we had it, because the cost of food and drink was just to expensive for a 3 str hotel.
However the food was the best we have had on holiday of this type.
The evening self service buffet was an eating extravaganza of freshly cooked food of all nations and the staff were superb as they were at lunch ...

belle mare plage hotel
Advantages: variety of activities and nice food Disadvantages: a bit isolated
...stayed in a villa @ Belle Mare Plage for our honeymoon. The accomodation was amazing and the facilities, bars, restaurants, everything was fab. The food is fantastic, the buffets are lovely, every food you could possibly imagine! There are free watersports inc waterskiing, pedalos, glass bottom boat ride and snorkelling - the snorkelling was excellent, loads of fish on the reefs. Ther is a gym with various classes including yoga and a spa which did ... ...that it is isolated, there is a town nearby that you can walk/cycle to but it's quite a trek, other than that its a taxi ride anywhere so you are pretty much stuck in the hotel on a night, they do have entertainment, dancers or a live band.
We are saving up to go back asap! Highly recommended, a brilliant holiday. ...

Advantages: LUXURY LUXURY LUXURY Disadvantages: NOTHING
I am back after a trip in to my Shangri là ... :-) All my body is suntanned and a lot of souvenir in my head.. It's hard to come back in Paris with a bad weather ... sh..t!
Mauritius is a magic place.. So in a magical place, i have to find a magic hotel...And I was not desappointed... After a 12 hours trip, exhausted, I came face to face with a gorgeous hotel called " La plantation"
This **** stars hotel ( for the ones that squint, there are 4 ... ...THE PLACE TO BE
We have choosen this hotel, because it is located in a downwind bay in the northwest of the island of Mauritius..
This hotel is in the same time in the border of a river and on seafront.
"la plantation" is in the middle of a park of the 8 hectares.
We follow a friendly advice for the choice of this hotel. it tells us that in this period of the year (end of september, and the beginning of October), it's the end of the winter season ...

Good for honeymoon
Advantages: Privacy, Very nice Staff Disadvantages: Quite expensive- even for a 5 stars
...this surely is one of the best I have ever been to.The hotel is great and is located in a beautiful location.Pointe aux Piments is not as crowded as Grandbaie thus giving it much more privacy. The beach is not as good as the others beaches on the island but i have to admit it the standard is quite high in Mauritius. The bar is located on the beach and the restaurant has some great dishes.Conserning the rooms, my wife and I found it very attractive. With ... ...surely recommend everyone to eat only once or twice there and to try the outside food more often.Grand baie is only 15 min away, so you can take a taxi and enjoy the food and night life there.Being a 5 stars hotel, you should expect 5 star prices-meaning very expensive ...
