Advantages: Cheapest 5 star property in KL. Excellent western property. Great facilities and staff. Disadvantages: Not as fresh as other 5* properties but at this price, who cares??!

Many of you will have ready my other reviews about Mandarin Oriental, Hilton and Le Meridien etc, however one thing the Renaissance has that none of these do is the price. Renaissance is without a doubt the cheapest five star hotel in KualaLumpur and although those prices quoted in my review were 2006/7 prices, they are still pretty much the same today.
If you are looking for a quality hotel that will welcome you and take care of your needs than the Renaissance will fulfill that. It won?t WOW you in the same way as the MO or Hilton will but when you are paying a fraction of the price compared to these hotels, who ...

The Room
Hilton KualaLumpur is one of the city?s largest hotels and is a full servicehotel catering for every need for the leisure or business traveler.
They have a number of different room categories from standard, executive and suite.
Executive and Suite rooms also have access to the executive lounge, which I shall elaborate on more later. All rooms either overlook the city on one side or the lake gardens on the other. Either way you can be sure of a stunning view.
My room had views out over the lake gardens, giving a brilliant aspect.
Now back to my suite?..

could walk to the local markets, restaurants and bars. There are hundreds of hotel in KualaLumpur and you would definitely not be stuck for somewhere to stay while you are there. There are literally hundreds of skyscraper buildings. As we were only in KL for three days, I am unable to comment on the accommodation that much as we did not really visit any hotels aside from the one we were staying in. As mentioned before, our hotel was in a prime location, offered excellent customer service and the rooms were very clean and comfortable.

In Malaysia, their currency is the Ringgit. While we were out there, the exchange rate was £1 for RM 7.00
