Advantages: All in one place, sheltered Disadvantages: Outdoor, hit and miss with bargains
The McArthur Glen Designer Outlet, in Ashford, Kent is more or less right down the road from me, and after a recent trip, I feel inspired to write about it. Over the years though, now I know what to expect on my ... ...outstanding bargains. The McArthur Glen Designer Outlet, is ugly, real ugly. It tries to be a sort of millennium Dome look-alike, but fails, and just looks a bit funny really, with its white tenty top, with risen bits. It looks like Glastonbury in giant-world has been snowed upon and is collapsing and various intervals. Advantages: All under one roof Disadvantages: The recent addition of parking charges.
...are activities going on at McArthur Glen. These include ice skating and bungee jumping. So if you are feeling adventurous that's the place to go. And Just to give you an idea of exactly how good the bargains are that you could also be getting. Yesterday I paid £31 for two pairs of Nike trainers. Now where else could you do that! ...

Advantages: Plenty of car parking Disadvantages: Outside though undercover so not so good in winter!
McArthur Glen Ashford is the most bizzarely set out shopping centre you could imagine. The car park is in the middle and the shops are set out around the car park in a large circle with a canvas covering for when it rains. This is something I quite like about it though as it gives it character and sets it aside from all the other outlets which look the same. However there are two drawbacks. When it is cold you are outside but then at the same time ... ...more so than any other McArthur Glen store I have been to. It has a miss sixty shop, a warehouse store and an oasis shop so I think it is geared towards younger people. However they have a large Marks and Spencers store which I find good, homeware stores, luggage stores,childrenswear stores, sports shops,jewellry shops and plenty more for all ages and genders.
