Mear's transportation shuttle was by far one of the worst experiences I have had with an airport shuttle. First off, it took forever to get ONTO the shuttle (there was a line). Secondly, it took forever to get to our hotel (we stopped at about 9 other hotels on the way to ours). Thirdly, for the price, it probably would have been better to take a taxi or one of the many limousine or transportation services in town (we found out that there are hundreds!). Here is a list of a few of the companys that we have used on our visits to Orlando, Florida:
www.dixielimo.com - Nice driver, good service, clean car, a bit pricey.
www.happylimo.com - Driver didn't seem very happy (never smiled), the vehicle was a newer town car, but it was a bit dirty, the price was OK, but I wouldn't recommend these guys.
We have also used Yellow Cab, which it seems is the largest taxi company in Orlando. The driver didn't speak english, and the car smelled like under-arm odor (NEVER AGAIN!)
PART 2: Since you guys asked for more details, here they are:
First off, when we arrived at the airport, we were told that Mears was IT as far as shuttles. So we went down to their window and purchased shuttle transportation to our hotel in Lake Buena Vista (We stayed at the Hilton LBV, Excellent property btw, was right next to the Disney Village). Anyway, there were 4 of us, my husband, myself, and our two boys. We paid $16 each (I think) for the one way shuttle. Total was $64.00. We went down to where the shuttle bus parks and there was a line of people waiting for the shuttle. In all honesty, we sat there for about 45 minutes just waiting to get onto our shuttle. THEN after we finally did get onto the bus, it was about 1 1/2 hours to get to our hotel, since they stop at various other hotels on the way to ours. On the return trip, we used a company called Fleetwood, they only charged us $45 and we got our own private van and a non-stop transfer. The other thing about mear's shuttle is that you are sharing a vehicle with what seems like a million people. The screaming kids all very excited about going to see Mickey just did not do it for me. Sorry. Again I'll reitterate, they absolutely just stink. Try one of the companies I mentioned above for much better service. If there are only one or two people traveling, the Mear's shuttle will be much cheaper, but in all, I would rather pay a few extra dollars than have to go through that experience again.

Firstly, welcome to ciao! Sorry to hear about your disappointment, I'd never had a problem with bus companies specifically in Orlando, but then again never went on Mears...At least I know now! Not a bad first review, I've certainly been warned away! A little more information would be nice. Well done though :D xxx
