Advantages: Winning lots of money and cheap food and drink! Disadvantages: Coming home with empty pockets, and it can be very addictive
...going into my mum’s local Mecca in Rosehill. My mum's in her 60's and ever since I left home to go to uni, she's down her local Mecca club most nights. I'm one of those 'it's just a con, I'll never win' types. How wrong could I be! Mum’s won over £2000 in total! Whereas I’ve only won about £50!
***Joining***
Membership is free and easy. To be a member you have to be 18 years of age and wait 24 hours from the time you joined before you play due ... ...odds are very low. Mecca also occasionally issues cards where if you collect a certain number of stamps, you’ll receive a freebie (a mans watch is currently on offer!) all to entice you to stay!
***Opening times***
The Rosehill club is open from 10.30am until 11pm every day, but clubs vary, so you must check when joining. You can pick up a little card for your purse so you know the opening times and cost per set for the week.

Walking past out local Mecca on the way home last week, my bloke said to me,"They serve cheap beer in there, you know!" Well, to me, that was a good enough reason for joining up there and then! So, in we went, where a kind young lady helped us fill in our forms, oblivious to the fact that we were roaring drunk....
We'd forgot about it until yesterday, when our membership cards arrived, complte with a timetable, price list and guide to the game. ... ...which stood out at the Mecca (even more than our 10.00 win!) was the excellent standard of customer service. The staff simply cannot do enough for you. My only real complaint was that the whole thing was over with in two hours! All the games had been played and the bar had shut!
So there you have it! My thoughts on Bingo now are that it could be loads of fun once in a while, even quite exciting and the chances of winning a cash prize are far better ...
