I was working overseas for a number of years for a major UK tour operator so Im happy to give my perspective on some of the resorts and hotels I have worked in, hope the reviews are helpful :)

Excellent location right on the beach, good facilities and used for business conferences too. Food is good although can be repetitive, I would suggest bed and breakfast, they offer an excellent choice for breakfast. Very relaxed friendly service, although I do feel at times this was slow, one member of staff didnt speak very good English I wouldnt have minded but they were not local either, think they need to look at this in a 4 star hotel. The rooms are of a good standard and very clean, towels etc changed daily. There is internet access from your room if you want it or you can use the hotels payable pcs for interenet. I would say for standards and location and also luxury I would rate this a 4 star plus. The hotel is located amongst 5 star hotels with a number of restaurants, bars and tourist shops nearby, there is also a bus stop right outside the hotel. I would probably recommend this more for couples rather than families. Overall a good standard hotel and some excellent offers available low season.

After working in the tour operation industry for a number of years believe me this is a very important factor in overseas hotels around the world. I would not expect everyone to speak English and did not state that, however if you are working in an establishment where you are offering holidays to people of all nationalities in a customer facing position you should at least be able to speak a language most people understand.
Most hotels will not offer you a job unless you have English speaking skills.....thats for customer facing postions. Its all about business at the end of the day.....

I would be careful about making comments like "one member of staff didnt speak very good English", when people from other countries stay here they don't expect us to speak their languages so we really shouldn't expect people in non-English speaking countries to be fluent in our language :)
