Arrived at Meeru after approx 50 minutes on boat, which was a very smooth crossing and the time went very quickly.
We paid for a Land Villa and were given room number 259 which was on the opposite side of the island to the jetty, the walk took us about 10 minutes to get to the restaurant/bars etc..
Meals are excellent even if you are a fussy eater you will find something to eat. Waiters in the restaurant are so polite and will do anything for you.
Night Fishing excursion: EXCELLENT!! We left Meeru at 17:30 We were on the boat for approx. 10 minutes when we came to a stop the crew called us up to the front of the boat and there was about 5 dolphins following the boat and doing tricks for us. We returned from the excursion about 20:00 and I caught 2 fish!! - Didn't like the look of them though!!
Husband went diving he has been diving before however because he didn't have a PADI certificate he had to do the beginners course. It was $42 for the lesson and Lagoon session - they taught him how to clear his mask etc.... and then he paid $52 (plus $10 for boat hire) and has a 1 hour dive in the afternoon on west reef (I think) he said it was excellent and when we go back he will probably do the full PADI and Open Water course.
We ate at the Asian Wok once and although it was nice I personally didn't think it was worth it as the main restaurant is very nice. We had 2 courses (hubby had Lobster) and the price was $61.
We did the Dhiffushi local island trip ($20pp) this was good, the shopping as much cheaper than the gift shop on Meeru. I bought a photo album I paid $7 however the same one in Meeru's gift shop it was $28.
