Plymouth Megabowl has got getting on for 30 lanes, and so you are guaranteed a game shortly after arriving! As the name would suggest, it hosts one of the local bowling alleys. But if you don't like a lot of noise, then just don't go. However that said, it is still a good experience as there is just so much to see and do for the family besides bowling. Amusement arcades; pool; air hockey; fast food outlets, and even a bar. So if you go down thinking that you will have an hour's game of bowling and that's it - think again! Good value for meny, it is less than £6/£7 for a 1 hour session. But there is also special deals that are regularly going on, such as '2-4-1'; family bowling for a certain price before 6pm, and so on. There is also plenty of free parking, as the bowling alley is amongst one of the tourist attractions in Plymouth. But it is also close to the city centre, and on good bus routes that leave there. The atmoshere for me is almost electric, because of the sheer volume of people all out having a good time - having a laugh, and enjoying themselves.
