the drinks! Our room was a 6 bed dorm and there were 4 of us, we didn?t share with anyone else the whole time we were there. The room was extremely clean as the cleaners came round every day around 11ish. We had an en suite room with 2 bunks and 2 single beds which I luckily got one of. There was also a TV, table and chairs (although you have to pay extra for the TV to work).
They have 12 and 6 bed dorms, some of the 6 beds are female only while the rest are mixed. There are also private rooms with one to six beds. Prices range between £9 for a 12 bed dorm and £33 for a single private room. You can find out more on their website meininger-hostels.com.
Breakfast is free and is set out in a buffet style on the rooftop terrace. Breakfast is all you can eat and there are numerous cereals, breads, jams with hot or cold drinks. The staff are ...

#1. The price: even if you book just before your trip, rooms are generally good value. Remember to compare booking sites. Hostels share the number of rooms available between sites, so if, for example, Hostel World says that there are no beds left, Hostelbookers might not have used up its quota of beds.
#2. No hidden costs: bedding is included - which is something which is by no means a given. Breakfast is now extra, but few hostels offer a free breakfast anymore. In any case, it is an all-you-can-eat buffet, so you really can get your money's worth!
#3. Staff: Friendly, competent and multi-lingual
#4. Security: each guest has his or her own locker and each guest has his or her own swipe card to access the rooms: many hostels have one key per room, which raises many security concerns.

If you are going to spend the night at the hostel the bar is literally the only place you should be. Dont try to get an early night as there seems a constant flow of excitable young people milling around the hallways and although they say no noise after 11pm, this doesnt appear to be followed through.
The rooms themselves are very small, I booked a twin which turned out to be a bunk bed, which although the beds were tiny themselves they took up the majority of the space. Although the sheets were clean the bed itself hadnt been wiped down for a while and, horribly, still showed the past glories of a previous guest.
The toilets were even worse, a constant smell from the moment you enter, doors on cubicles that only lock with great difficulty, urine spattered floors and seats, and according to my girlfriend that goes double ...
