Are you a shopaholic? Then, melaka is really unsuitable for you. If you go to Melaka, you should visit some historical place. One of the very interesting place in Melaka is "Musium Samudra" which means Maritime Museum in English. It isconstructed after 'Flora De La Mar', the Portuguese ship that sank off the Coast of Malacca on its way to Portugal. Inside the Museum visitor can get a closer look at Malacca from the famed Malay Sultanate of the 14th century to the Portuguese era, the Dutch era and the British era.
The next destination you should visit is the Melaka Cultural Musium and Baba Nyonya Heritage Museum. The museums are exhibiting artefacts, prints, photographs and drawings which represent the history and cultural heritage of the Malay Sultanate of Melaka and the various communities.
You can continue your trips to Melaka Independence Memorial. It is the place where Malaysia's first prime minister declared the country's impending independence on the field in front of the club in 1956.
The last but not least, don't forget to visit " A Famosa". It is the Portuguese surviving gate in Melaka.
In conclusion: I think Melaka is a good place for holiday. The atmosphere in Melaka, really makes you feel back in to the 16th century.
