Last summer was host to the most exciting and most different holiday I have ever taken. Bored of years of holidays with parents, always staying in the same place, always visiting the same places, I decided this time to go away with friends. My boyfriend managed to secure us a cheap holiday sailing around the Turkish coast, so naturally, I went - partly because of the price, partly because of the company...and partly because I'd heard so much about Turkey and yet had never visited.
Marmaris was our last port of call, so to speak. We spent two days moored there, but two days is nowhere near enough if you really want to do everything you possibly can in the area. However, I will tell you about my experience, including the parts which we would have liked to, but sadly didn't have the time to see.

Who is it for??
I would recommend MArmaris to anyone. However the resort is not quiet if your looking for peace & tranquility - but at the same time its not really overly lively. To explain - if you want it to be livley - you can have it - if you want to relax and get away from it all - you can.
People of all ages can enjoy a holiday in Marmaris as it has so much to offer....

This review is based on my own experience and my own thoughts about Marmaris Turkey.
Marmaris is located 100km from Dalaman airport, it sits in a natural bay surrounded by breathtaking mountains.
We wanted to visit Marmaris for a number of reasons, an opportunity to experience local life, meet the local people, enjoy the fabulous cusine and relax in the blasting sun.
Turkey is an enormous, culturally rich and scenically diverse country and chooseing where abouts to go was hard but the last few years we have had heared so many good things about Marmaris and that's were we ended up going.
Airport
There are four airport's in Turkey ( I think). One in Izmir, one in Antalya, one in Istanbul and the local airport is Dalaman International Airport, this is the one which we flew into.
