I love Le Grand Colbert, near my usual hotel on rue Vivienne, 75002 (see Hotel Vivienne £50 a night double room - plug!). It's one of the few remaining Parisienne brasseries with art deco interior and the most astounding seafood platters imaginable. Their puddings are to die for!
My main tip for seeing Paris is to restrain yourself from checking maps and guidebooks constantly, don't be afraid of getting lost - the Parisians are friendly, despite what people say!

First time we have stayed at this hotel but have used the Sol Melia Group throughout Spain before.
The hotel is located on the Paseo Maritimo in Palma and has excellent views over the marina and Bay of Palma and is about a 20 minute stroll to the centre of Palma. Ideal for visiting the bars and restuarants of the old town at night and the beautiful city of Palma during the day. There is also a good range of bars, cafes etc along the Paseo Maritimo if the 20 minute walk is an issue.
The facilities were good especially the pool area which was spotless, had plenty of space and the best pool bar staff I've met in a long time. Once they got to know you nothing was a problem and the standard of service was friendly and relaxed. The level...
