My husband and I often take our grandchildren away for a few days and have found that all the HIExpress's we have used are extremely child friendly. When requesting a cot for our grandaughter it has always been ready made up for immediate use. When we arrived at Taunton HIExpress one Saturday evening last November the staff had put an extra key card in the room slot so that the heating was on and the room warm for when we arrived at 9.30pm ! A big difference from other similar accommodation when you sometimes have to provide your own cot and bedding because their own "has gone missing".
HIExpress is the first choice of one to three night stops for both of us for business and leisure travel. In the past year we have stopped at Inverness, Washington, Newcastle, Taunton, Swindon, Bristol, Stafford, Liverpool, Leeds, Manchester, London, Crawley, Edinburgh, Glenrothes, Glasgow, Southampton(before embarking on a cruise) and a couple in France.
We find the constancy suits our needs. I can vouch for the disabled rooms as I have to use them when my back and hip problems make it necessary for me to use crutches or a wheelchair. It takes just a few minutes to book everything online and because we a Priority club members we get points and free stops as well as really great rates.
The one moan that I would have is that some of the smaller HIE's don't have room for a toaster in the breakfast area, I do like my toast in the morning! Other than that I would recommend them to anyone.
