I am a 28 year old professional male I seem to mostly review films and I try to ensure that my reviews are concise and to the point. Who wants to read a lot of waffle that so often scores the exceptionals on here?

I have stayed in Holiday Inn Express hotels on several occasions. The best place to book is via their website (www.hiexpress.co.uk), as this guarantees the lowest prices. Prices vary, but outside of London rooms cost less than £50 for a couple. Prices in London are slightly higher. Prices vary depending on location and time of year.
The hotels are relatively basic looking. You are not paying for elaborate reception areas, swimming pools or a gym. Instead what you get is a good sized room with en suite bathroom. You get tea and coffee making facilities, together with a TV. The TV has a few Sky channels, but these are mostly news channels. There is also a range of pay per view movies available, although half of these seem to be pornographic in nature. The rooms are large enough, very clean and I have found the beds to be very firm and comfortable.
Unlike Travel Inn hotels there is no a restaurant attached to Holiday Inn Express hotels, so you will need to go out for food. However there is a small bar which will sell alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks.
Included in the room is continental breakfast. This is a self service range of croissants, toast, cereal, tea, coffee and orange juice. I don’t like fatty food, so prefer this to a full English Breakfast but some people prefer the fatter alternative.
The main advantage of the Holiday Inn Express hotels are you know what you are going to get, some smaller family owned hotels may offer better value but you take more of a risk. Holiday Inn Express hotels are similar to Travel Inn hotels, however Travel Inns do not include breakfast in the price.
Overal I recomment Holiday Inn Express hotels for short breaks away. They are relatively inexpensive and although they offer few facilities it should not matter if you are planning to spend most of your time outside the hotel. It also offers good facilities for business users with internet access in each room.

For express hotels in London, totalstay.com offers some great deals - cheaper than booking through holiday inn themselves!!! Nice op. Marc

Holiday in always offer high quality i've found but i never really associated cheap with them, family run hotels have a better feel though and more friendly service. A good read. Jimmy:)
