Hotels Formule 1 are part of the Accor Hotels Group and can be found all over the world, but they are especially well established in France where 261 hotels are scattered across the country.
I have been using hotels Formule 1 for many years now and I have never been disappointed. In fact, I still cannot understand how they manage to keep in business considering the prices they charge, but I am not complaining. Each hotel is exactly the same and each bedroom is also exactly the same. So no nasty surprises, you know exactly what you are paying for. All bedrooms are modern, clean, very comfortable and accommodate up to 3 people. You have a double bed, a bunk bed, a sink with mirror, television and radio with remote control, an alarm clock and spaces to hang clothes. Showers and WC are found just a few steps away from each room. No found is available in these hotels, except for breakfast. Breakfast is self service and you help yourself to as much fresh crusty bread, butter, jam, coffee, hot chocolate, tea and orange juice as you wish. The price an increadible £2.20 per breakfast and the price of a room in these hotels varies from £12.50 to £14.00. And remember these prices are not per person but per room. The only area where prices are higher is Paris, but again value is still very good when you consider that you are charged the grand sum of £18.00 per room, per night. Another fantastic advantage I have found is that parking is free and either at the front, side or back of the hotel. Finally, but not least the method of payment is ideal for people travelling long distance and not absolutely sure at what time they will arrive at their hotel. Formule 1 Hotels let you reserve your room over the internet or over the telephone. By giving your credit card details a room is reserved for you, but no payment is debited from your account. You can cancel your booking up to 7.00 pm on the day of your first night booking by telephoning the hotel where you were supposed to stay and you are charge absolutely nothing. If you do not contact the hotel your credit carde is debited at 7.00 pm and you can arrive at any time and use your credit card to gain access to the hotel and your room. By inserting your card in a special machine situated at the entrance of the hotel you are given a print out showing a code which allows you to enter the hotel and your room. It seems rather complicated at first, but it is very simple and instructions are given in all the main languages, so you cannot fail to get in. Next tome you are in France give Formule 1 a try, you will not regret it!!!
