Advantages Advantages Cheap, Comfortable, Clean, Polite Staff

Disadvantages Disadvantages Wouldn't have liked to have paid the full £60

I booked a room on the internet to stay in the Travel Lodge on Broad Street in Birmingham and, at only £26 a night for a family room (they were out of doubles) I was a little dubious about how it would turn out. Luckily all of my doubts were misplaced! THE BOOKING PROCESS The website for travellodge is well set-out. You simply enter the dates of your stay and the town you want to stay in and the rest is easy. The interface even states in huge letters at the top of the page if there is a £26 per night special offer room available. Luckily I managed to get one of the last family rooms on the ... more

Advantages Advantages Very close to the town centre

Disadvantages Disadvantages Read my text. Grossly expensive for sub-standard product; not worth the money.

My wife and I had a one one-night Valentine weekend break last Saturday night, 13th February, when we got the rarity of an overnight baby sit for our lad at his grandma’s place. My wife works, but I am currently unemployed, and we hadn’t had such a break away for a year. You get the picture? We cannot afford to squander money, or opportunity. Having stayed in the Ramada Encore Hotel in Micklegate, York, a few years ago, I knew a bit about it. It changed to Travel Lodge Micklegate (i.e. a budget hotel chain) on 1st February 2010. I booked a family room for the two of us for the Saturday, for ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap at £29 for double room

    Disadvantages Disadvantages See detailed description

Booked at Travelodge Wembley. Nice and cheap at £29 for a double room. Pros: Booking online is easy and straightforward. Can't complain about the price. The guy on reception was extremely busy and was able to check us in at the same time as answering an enquiry on the phone, checking people out and even ordering a taxi for someone, yet he remained calm and polite throughout the process. (Although if I wasnt in a good mood I might have got annoyed as I didnt have his undivided attention and check in process took around 10-15 mins) Room was clean and the shower was lovely and powerful. Cons: ... more

Advantages Advantages Mug on tea tray instead of usual cup and saucer

Disadvantages Disadvantages Paid parking. Poor value for money.

Booked on the internet to stay at the Pilsworth Travel Lodge, Bury, Lancashire for 1 night. Disappointed on booking to find that we had to pay £3 to park overnight. On arrival we had to remake the bed as there was over 2 inches of mattress showing at the head of the bed and the bottom sheet also had a hole in it. The duvet was 6 inches too long for the duvet cover. The bath had some chips in the enamel and there was mould on the sealant behind the bath taps and in the corner. Apart from this the room was clean but looked "tired". The TV remote contro did not work and even when new batteries ... more

Advantages Advantages you think your getting a good deal

Disadvantages Disadvantages They take your money whether you have room or not

Booked four rooms for charity event with Travel lodge , Unfortunately the event at to change location due to unforeseen circumstances , but no problem we have cancellation insurance , I cancelled rooms that cost us £156 went through process of claim form only to find out we come under Section A and that basically says you only get reimbursed if you die , if your made redundant , if one of your party dies or your called up for active service . So basically the cheap rooms on offer are not what they are made out to be because you lose all your money whether you have insurance or not . i am ... more
