I booked a room on the internet to stay in the Travel Lodge on Broad Street in Birmingham and, at only £26 a night for a family room (they were out of doubles) I was a little dubious about how it would turn out. Luckily all of my doubts were misplaced! THE BOOKING PROCESS The website ... Read review

Great Value, No Cleanliness Compromise!

AdvantagesCheap, Comfortable, Clean, Polite Staff

DisadvantagesWouldn't have liked to have paid the full £60

"I booked a room on the internet to stay in the Travel Lodge on Broad Street in Birmingham and, at only £26 a night for a family room (they were out of doubles) I was a little dubious about how it would turn out. Luckily all of my doubts were misplaced! THE BOOKING PROCESS The website for travellodge is well set-out. You simply enter the dates of your stay and the town you want to stay in and the rest is easy. The interface even states in huge ..." Read review

Travel Lodge Micklegate, York. Grossly Expensive Plus Awful Room

AdvantagesVery close to the town centre

DisadvantagesRead my text. Grossly expensive for sub-standard product; not worth the money.

"My wife and I had a one one-night Valentine weekend break last Saturday night, 13th February, when we got the rarity of an overnight baby sit for our lad at his grandmaís place. My wife works, but I am currently unemployed, and we hadnít had such a break away for a year. You get the picture? We cannot afford to squander money, or opportunity. Having stayed in the Ramada Encore Hotel in Micklegate, York, a few years ago, I knew a bit about it. It ..." Read review

Travelodge Wembley NW10 7UG

AdvantagesCheap at £29 for double room

DisadvantagesSee detailed description

"Booked at Travelodge Wembley. Nice and cheap at £29 for a double room. Pros: Booking online is easy and straightforward. Can't complain about the price. The guy on reception was extremely busy and was able to check us in at the same time as answering an enquiry on the phone, checking people out and even ordering a taxi for someone, yet he remained calm and polite throughout the process. (Although if I wasnt in a good mood I might have got ..." Read review

Travel Lodge, Pilsworth, Bury, Lancashire

AdvantagesMug on tea tray instead of usual cup and saucer

DisadvantagesPaid parking. Poor value for money.

"Booked on the internet to stay at the Pilsworth Travel Lodge, Bury, Lancashire for 1 night. Disappointed on booking to find that we had to pay £3 to park overnight. On arrival we had to remake the bed as there was over 2 inches of mattress showing at the head of the bed and the bottom sheet also had a hole in it. The duvet was 6 inches too long for the duvet cover. The bath had some chips in the enamel and there was mould on the sealant behind the ..." Read review

DisadvantagesThey take your money whether you have room or not
