Booked on the internet to stay at the Pilsworth Travel Lodge, Bury, Lancashire for 1 night. Disappointed on booking to find that we had to pay £3 to park overnight. On arrival we had to remake the bed as there was over 2 inches of mattress showing at the head of the bed and the bottom sheet also had a hole in it. The duvet was 6 inches too long for the duvet cover. The bath had some chips in the enamel and there was mould on the sealant behind the bath taps and in the corner. Apart from this the room was clean but looked "tired". The TV remote contro did not work and even when new batteries were put in, it still did not work. The receptionist said that she would look at it whilst we were out. When we got back the remote control was on our bed with 2 batteries on top of it - but it still did not work, so we gave up on it. Another disappointment was the breakfast in a box which was poor value. We were told that the breakfast would be delivered to our room at the time we requested which was 8am. At 8.25am my husband had to go down to reception only to find that they had forgotten to bring us our "box". For the privelidge of this 1 night stay we paid £55 for the room, £3 for parking and £4.05 for our boxed breakfast. Definitely not value for money and I will not stay at a Travel Lodge again unless there is no other option.
