Disadvantages: Situated on a tall hill, if you are walking.

The hotel concierge told me that I could walk to the KL Tower, but as it was a hot, sticky day I chose to grab a taxi and was very glad I did as the tower is on top of a very steep hill. You can't really see this from ground level in the city, only when you get close. The tower has a forest area around it called Bukit Nanas Reserve and there was a sign saying that you could visit free nature trails and see monkeys around the area, but I didn't have ...
...is very large and old, and apparently they moved the whole tower when it was being constructed so that it didn't get disturbed. The base of the tower has ticket desks and a few shops and stalls selling food and souvenirs. You can either go to the revolving restaurant and have a meal, or just go to the observation deck. We absolutely loved it here! We had dinner here on our last night in KL. It was part of a tour organised by our hotel, but I think most of the travel agents can book this for you. It's usually fully booked, so definitely worth pre-booking before you leave for KL.
