We absolutely loved it here! We had dinner here on our last night in KL. It was part of a tour organised by our hotel, but I think most of the travel agents can book this for you. It's usually fully booked, so definitely worth pre-booking before you leave for KL.
The tower is situated on the top of a hill, and I'm not sure about the transport links as we had a driver take up here. You can just go up to the observation deck and look at the view, but I would highly reccommend coming eating at the revolving restaurant situated at the top.
Its a buffet menu and you pay a flat price per head, but this doesn't include wine. There's wide selection of indian, chinese and malay food. And yes, there's a western selection - but you're on holiday, so be adventerous! While you sit at your table, you can watch KL pass you by. You get a fantastic veiw of the twin towers and the Maybank building. Although the building itself is shorter that the twin towers, you get a much better view since you're right at the top plus the tower is on top of a hill. I think it took about 1 1/2 hours to complete the rotation and there's usually someone playing the piano in the centre of the restaurant.
We were on our honeymoon at the time, and it was most romantic! Really fantastic atmosphre. It's absolutely perfect for couples. If it is a meal for two, try booking a table for around sunset or after dark. Not sure how young families would find it. While we were there we didn't see any children at all, but as I say it was after dark, so maybe earlier in the day its more family friendly.
An package tour for two including a driver to pick us up from the hotel, give us a tour around Chinatown and Central Market, then to take us to the restaurant, wait for us and take us back to the hotel cost about £40. That includes the buffet meal, but not drinks. This was from Tour East Asia. They were our local reps in KL.We thought is was great value, for a really great night out.

One of the travel shows had a segment on KL last week and it seemed like really great value for money...after the expensive plane ticket, that is. :) Great review.
