Hotel Sol Falco Advantages: Great Entertainment and Facilities Disadvantages: 15 Minutes walk from the Marina / Beach The hotel Sol Falco offers self catering, half board and full board. The service is excellent from all the staff and the facilities provided from this large complex are fantastic. The Sol Falco has its own in-house entertainment team which put on proffesional and entertaining shows nearly every night. Scuba Diving activities can be arranged on site, and plenty of space around its variety of pools. You walk into the reception with a fountain in the ... ...you arrive. The complex is very big but a security team patrol the whole site and the roads in and around the complex. The hotel is situated in the resort of Son Xoriguer which is next to the Marina of Cala n Bosch which is 15 minutes walk away, however I noted it as a disadvantage its the only one I could think of. Shops are situated on-site but are a little more expensive than the ones around the streets behind it. If you go self catering its well ... Son Blanc Apartments Advantages: Great for families Disadvantages: Location The Son Blanc Apartments are located in Sa Caleta, not far from the old town of Ciutadella. It is split between a quiet road with standard sized rooms and standard self catering facilities. The Hotel staff are all excellent and the entertainment is provided by the tour operator and local entertainment companies. Their are two pools situated on either side of the complex, but with the amount of apartments, the sunbeds are a struggle to find. A small ... ...bus service runs by the Son Blanc to take you to the old town of ciutadella. The resort is a quiet one, but dense with families. Either car or use of the bus service is needed to get anywhere. Cars are hard to get in the height of summer!! It offers a great scenery around the area for an evening stroll. The on-site restaurant offers snacks all day, along with meals, but with only a very small selection of local restaurants you dont have much choice. ... Why I keep going back to the Sur Menorca Advantages: Excellent place for young children. Disadvantages: Quite a way from the main village, but reflected in the price. ...a free mini-bus from the hotel that runs every 10 minutes or so. There's also a road-train that runs from Punta Prima right through to Binibeca, and while it's not cheap, it's a nice round-trip and keeps kids amused for a while - and Binibeca is lovely. I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for families. The entertainment isn't great, but it's ok, and I prefer to get back to the room and chill out with the kids in bed!! San Luis hotel Advantages: sports facilities, clean hotel, good food, friendly staff Disadvantages: quiet for teenagers at night, lack of beach Having just returned from Hotel San Luis We would like to say what a great time we had. The hotel is kept spotlessly clean especially as we went in August when it is at it's busiest. The food although a bit repetitive is excellent and there is always something you like (even when you have fussy children)! The rooms are cleaned thoroughly daily and clean bed linen and towels changed daily too. The entertainment is very good generally and the children's ... ...well worth considering as drinks can be very expensive. Ice creams are free as well as unlimited drinks, crisps,nuts etc. Staff are very friendly and helpful and you can hire beach towels for a refundable deposit of 10 euros each. Sports facilities are a godsend for teenagers as is the spotless pool area. Blanc Palace Advantages: Clean, Helpful staff, Reasonable Disadvantages: Can be noisy ...holiday staying in the Blanc Palace complex and on the whole found I to be a nice place to stay. The complex is fairly large so there is a bit of a walk to the further rooms from the reception and bar areas, the rooms were functional and clean some might say a little basic but nothing that would spoil your holiday, the room we were in did face the main road and at certain times of the day & night could be a little noisy with general traffic and ... ...as quite a lot of tiled floor hotels it does suffer from the terrible noise of furniture being dragged across the floors above you. The main pool is fairly large,clean and deep with a children's pool by the side of it with plenty of sun beds which aren't allowed to be reserved with the towel scenario, the pool side bar had the normal snacks and refreshments that you would expect, we did find the price in the bar higher than we expected but that ...
