Of course one must live also someplace in Berlin. And also there are various possibilities of luxury accommodation up to the camping site and the co-living head office. Of course it admits information about it Internet in travel agencies and massive in this so everybody surely finds there a little matching the taste of one's own...

Advantages: Great value for 5* hotel, very modern, clean Disadvantages: Air-con was broken down..
...Just came back from our long weekend (2nd May Bank Holiday, 26May-28May) with 4 other friends. We went to Berlin with Easyjet; it was about £120 per person (a little pricey due to peak period) and the flight time is a little inconvenience because it departed at 6.30am, and check-in time is from 4.30am so we took the last train from London Bridge to Luton airport (about 1hour). We got there by 1.30am and slept on the benches for few hours.
There are three airports in Berlin, which are Schoenefled, Tegel and Tempelhof. We went to Berlin Schoenefled with Easyjet and this is the furthest airport from town centre and to the hotel (Grand Hotel Esplanade), it took us about 1 hour. The closest airport is BerlinTempelhof it would be about 20 minutes from town and 30minutes from Berlin Tegel Airport to town.

...There are two Sofitel hotels in Berlin, and this review is for the Dorint Sofitel Schweizerhof, not the Dorint Sofitel am Gendarmenmarkt. Both are part of the Accor hotel chain.

The Schweizerhof can be found on Budapester Straße. It is extremely well located, being between the Tiergarten (south-west corner of the park), the zoo and aquarium, the Europa Centre and the shops on Kurfurstendamm. The nearest station is Zoologischer Garten (800m distance), or it is an easy cab ride from Tegel Airport (8km) or TempelhofAirport (10km). There is a bus stop right outside the hotel for route 200, with other routes nearby. There are usually cabs waiting outside the hotel and there is a car park under the hotel (which isn't too cheap - about €18 per day).

Stayed in City Pension Berlin for 2 nights in December 2005 with another two friends. Three of us booked a triple room and the shower is in the room but toilet outside. We paid Euro 53 only (this is very good value).
