The abbey at MontSaint-Michel has been one of my dream-destinations to visit since, well, literary ages! This is how the story of my addiction started: Back in 1996 I have got a little pocket calendar with a beautiful cathedral on the front, I have fallen in love with it the moment I laid my eyes on it for the first time! However, the photo bore no description and even if I really did try, I was never able to find out what and where the place was....imagine my frustration as I'm a keen traveler and photographer! I've kept the little picture and every now and then it tortured my mind again. However, I have to say back then I had a strong suspection that it would be someplace in France as you can't iss the resemblance of French architecture. Not bad as hotels go but most diffinately not the best.
The hotel is situated in a good position in Le Havre quite approx 10 mins walk from the railway station and easy to find. Close to the hotel is the town centre with plenty of shops.
The hotel lobby is fairly small and in need of some update, the lobby aslo leads directly on to the bar area and to the restaurent.
The staff at the hotel are helpful and pleasant and we had no problemsat check in.
The rooms are small but clean with double bed, bathroom and small seating area and TV (very limited chanel choice ), Note that there are no tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms only the mini bar. The rooms could do with updating and are in slight need of re-decoration.

On my recent holiday to Malta i stayed in Le Meridien Hotel, located in Saint Julian's. I would not normally have stayed in a 5 star hotel, but I was lucky enough to win some money towards a holiday from the company that I work for. Obviously, with free money, you are going to push the boat out a bit, and I am glad we did!!
Location/Area
We arrived at the hotel in the dark, quite late on a Friday night. The taxi brought us round a few small streets and then up quite a steep hill, thus bringing us to the reception of the hotel. My first impression was that it was in quite a strange location, but this is because i had only just seen where we were, and also it was dark, so everything seems different. The doors to the reception are round the back of the hotel and on the ground level floor.
