~ Introduction ~
In August, I went to Nice, France with my parents and we stayed in the Radisson SAS on La PromenadeDesAnglais (Walk of the English). Our hotel wasn't far from the airport so out taxi journey was short and we travelled along the road of the promenade to reach the hotel. It was a pleasant journey along the sea front as the sea was a gorgeous blue, which made it look really appealing. The sun was shining and there were people everywhere so I was more excited about my holiday already.
~ Background ~
Before Nice was urbanised there was just a band of large pebbles along the coast of Nice. In the second half of the 18th Century the English started spending the winters in Nice. During one particularly cold winter, when an influx of beggars came to Nice, the rich Englishmen thought of a useful project for the beggars ...
Advantages: Nice, a big town, on the sea side, close to mountains, good life. Disadvantages: So often fully booked even on low period due to congresspeople.
For my first opinion on CIAO.UK, I am writing about my natural born town : Nice.
Wherever weather is cloudy, rainy, windy and frozen, Nice is still sunny (more than 280 days per year) and warm in summer time (average temperature 26 - 30°) not cold in winter time (almost 12 - 20°).
Last time I remember snow in Nice, it was 1986! and believe me it was such a mess on the roads and everywhere, no schools, most of the shops were closed, but good time and superbe pictures from the famous PromenadedesAnglais covered by snow!
Nice is located close to the italian frontier, so many italian influences (the town is french since 1865) : clothes at the balconies ready to dry, restaurants propose plates like pizzas, soccas, lasagna, etc... and finally juste come for New Year's eve and you will understand how much italian love the French Riviera ...

Advantages: excellent colour Disadvantages: Quite hard to make sure youve applied it to all areas.
I have recently gone from blonde back to my natural colour and my hairdresser told me that despite putting a permanent brown on top of the blonde, it will fade and I would need to go back and keep having semi permanent dye on it to build up the pigment. Now I am trying to save a few pennies at the moment so decided to give it a go myself. I kept putting it off and putting it off until my hair got to the point where it looked quite gingery. It was only by chance that I was looking at the reduced aisle in Tesco and saw a box of this ?Nice and Easy? hair dye for just £1.80. I know nothing about the ?good and bad? of hair dye so thought this was probably as good as any.
In the box I got two bottles of dye which were suppose to be mixed together and shaken and then applied to the hair immediately. I also got a big pouch of conditioner ...
