Meridiana Country Hotel, Calenzano

Advantages: Lovely location, excellent food and staff. Rooms were great.
Disadvantages: A bit remote, Noisy shredder in the toilet.

..., and I'm not sure if they are in all of the rooms, but it became bearable once we knew what set it off! There were ground floor rooms available for the less mobile. The grounds of the hotel were lovely and it would be an ideal location for a wedding. There were events on in the hotel every day and night of our stay and although we were in the room above, we were not disturbed at all. The staff remained polite and extra helpful although they were clearly busy. We booked this hotel with superbreak and got an unbeatable deal for the May spring bank holiday weekend. We would say that the Ennerdale country house hotel is not the ritz, but for great value for money, lovely central surroundings great food and rooms it's certainly worth a look.... Read review

Advantages: Great hotels, and facilities
Disadvantages: EXPENSIVE!!!

...After another argument with the little lady I was feeling stressed and in need of some TLC. "Right that’s it" I shouted, "We are going away for a night". To which she replied "where?” She had a point, i am only 21, I can’t drive and i am not rich in any way shape or form. Despite this I really needed a break from reality. The Christmas bonus had just been deposited into my bank account so I thought of the closest 4 star I could think of. "We are going to that big hotel on the Wroxham Road" said I not knowing the name at the time. So off we went, as we pulled down the seemingly endless drive from the main road I thought gosh this looks different to any hotel I had ever stayed in (i am more used to forte pothouses or similar!!). Advantages: Friendly staff, clean
Disadvantages: Pricey, can have a few problems

...My partner, daughter and I stayed at this hotel a couple of times when we go and visit the family up there. From the outside the hotel looked beautiful and clean and looked really big, as soon as i stepped in the doors i was weary but the staff are all nice and always had a smile on their faces. The hotel could do with a bit of a lift inside, the rooms wasn't as big as expected from the outside but was well furnished with all your little pieces ( trouser press, tea/coffee etc) The restaurant was nice with all your traditional food, the waiters and waitresses all know what they are doing and don't mess around, there was one complaint on the next table about a steak wasn't cooked right and the waiter offered to change it straight away, The waiter then came back out and said the steak was all from the same bit lot...
