    When trying to decide on a hotel for our trip to Hong Kong we did a lot of research and opted for the Metro Park Hotel in Causeway bay rather than its sister hotel in Kowloon. This was mainly due to its location in a quieter part of town and its superb transport links. The hotel is roughly three quarters of an hour from the airport and the bus to the airport stops at the door of the hotel, as our transport was included we did not use that option.     I stayed here with my partner at the end of May 2006 for three nights at a cost of £50 per night for a standard room. We were starting our gap year travels here, and had done plenty of research to find a reasonably priced hotel, due to the high cost of living in Hong Kong. We got the airport express into Hong Kong and then got a taxi to the hotel, which took fifteen minutes. Located in Causeway Bay, on average it took us twenty minutes to walk into the city centre, where the shopping and restaurants generally were, but this was not a problem for us.
