South Seas rooms very nice!

Advantages: Lovely rooms, helpful staff on reception, nice pool area.
Disadvantages: Not good in a crisis!

We stayed in the South Seas hotel in August 2005. During outr stay in Miami the MTV Awards with being held in the area and the hotel next door had been turned into Hotel MTV. This was amazing as there were many acts on at the pool parties and several celebrations going on that we could join in on. A large set back during our stay at the South Seas was the Hurricane Catrina which hit the area. This is obviously not the hotels fault but the bar and ...
...The rooms at the South Seas were excellent, always kept clean and the bed was big and comfortable. The rooms were very small though and due to the hurricane we had to stay in them for a while. Staff at reception were very helpful offering us advice on where to go and where to eat. The man on the valet parking was also very helpful, which cost us $20 per night, this I felt was a bit steep, but it has to be done, if your hiring a car there is nowhere ...

Review of South Seas Hotel, Miami Beach

too cool for school!

Advantages: nice to look at
Disadvantages: too many to mention

I visited the Shore Club in Miami Beach about a couple of years ago, i had read so much about it and my friends and I decided to take a week long break for some relaxing to Miami Beach we pushed the boat out and picked the Shore Club as our hotel. Now only had we read the tripadvisor reviews at that time and we may have rethought our hotel destination. We eventually got to Miami after lengthy delays due to the weather and the flight being rerouted ...
...(amazing omlettes). The Shore Club also has the world famous Skybar, again notoriously difficult to get into. All in all i wouldn't recommend the Shore Club, you can get better hotels on Miami South Beach with more atmosphere. It is a beautiful hotel to look at but that is just it under the facade it is very ordinary at very expensive prices. next time i am paying more attention to tripadvisor! ...

Review of Shore Club, Miami Beach

Four Points, none of them good points!

Advantages: You're only visiting...remember!
Disadvantages: Dirty, unkept, unhelpful staff, dodgy kitchen workers.

...& I went to the Four Points Miami Beach for a few nights post cruise. After having an exceptional holiday on the Freedom of the Seas we found ourselves "dumped" in the hotel from hell. Upon arriving at around 9am we were told our room wasn't ready as it was still occupied. We did book the hotel 10 months in advance so we didn't expect that. We had to leave our luggage in a little storage room and find something to do so we went to have a look around ...
...queue at the computer was four or five people deep. I did have to pay for wireless access. I seem to have forgotten but I think it was around $10 for an hour. Later that day the second of the three lifts was apparently repaired so we used it as the other was very busy with the maid service. I told you the service lift was dirty didn't I? Well it wasn't as dirty, dented and rusty as the second one and it didn't make a loud screeching noise the higher ...

Review of Four Points by Sheraton, Miami Beach

A good choice in South Beach

Advantages: Lots of personality, great location
Disadvantages: none

The Sagamore is located in Miami's trendy South Beach area close to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants, however there are many hotels to choose from in this district. This hotel was suggested to us by our travel agent for its great location and facilities but we were sceptical as it describes itself as an 'Art Hotel' - made me wonder whether the atmosphere would be stuffy and pretentious. Ebury Hotel, Canterbuty Kent

Advantages: Freindly
Disadvantages: For the More Mature Traveller

Ebury hotel, London Road, Canterbury £70 B&B (not sure if this is corporate rate) I stayed at this hotel for work, arrived on a Monday night and stayed 2 nights. I phoned before I arrived, lucky I did mainly it was to double check where they were but I asked about meals etc, some hotels have room service. The Chef goes home at 9pm so whilst on the phone the lady asked me if I wanted anything. I said a chicken salad, as it was quite late. I checked ...
...at the door, I was surprised at the prompt service. The Hotel is set in very nice surroundings I didn’t realise until the next day, it is on the main road but you don’t know whilst in the hotel it’s self. The hotel is very close to the centre of Canterbury and from the car park you can see the Cathedral. I would say the centre is about 10 mins drive, so a fair walk but a pleasant one at that.
