Having just come back from a 4 night stay here (but only managed 3 nights) i couldnt wait to write my review. We arrived to the view of a lovely looking manor house ..from the outside. We stayed in a Oakdale bungalow which smelt damp and musty as soon as we walked in, the sheets were dirty with stains on the mattresses (we were lucky we took our own bedding) cobwebs all over the lampshades. The bathroom and kitchen were equally as dirty but i also took my own cleaning products to clean before we unpacked. The volume button on the tv didnt work so the telly was quite load. The electric meter was a rip off the water tank had no jacket on so once the water heater was turned off the water went cold. We needed the heating on all night every night just so the kids didnt get cold. My husband and i slept on the fold down double bed in the lounge which was so uncomfortable we would of been better sleeping on the floor. The children enjoyed playing in the pool until they found a slug at the bottom the walk from the pool to the changing ROOM and 1 shower was very cold . My husband went to take a shower the second morning but the shower didnot open till 9am we waited till 9.20 for them to open the shower and then we were told that the shower hadnt been cleaned ......but we could still use it!!! The laundrette was a joke the staff use the 2 washers and 2 dryes in the mornings to wash the bed sheets for new guests, i washed my daughters car seat cover the night b4 and hung it over the bath all night but it still took 4 20ps to dry. We didnt even venture into the pub for a drink as we heard the arguments from a group of people coming from their one night and windows smashing. The shop is very basic that sells out of date bread and just basic stuff that you need (but no cling film or tin foil) To sum up Michaelstow Manor.....you would be better off spending your stay at near by bodmin prison.

Thanks for the warning, doesn't sound somewhere I'd like to stay. Sorry for the low rating, the spelling mistakes and lack of punctuation make your review difficult to read.
