I used this train there and back to Stoke-On-Trent. I was really pleased with the train, I can't really make a detailed review as I'm not an every day traveller but the trains seemed excellent to me. They were dead on time for a start which is always good! I found the trains to be very comfortable and smooth, you could easily go to sleep on a long distance journey which I was on and they give cups of tea and coffee on board! The seats are very comfortable and the train is fast. There is nothing to fault with Midland Mainline apart from one thing:
SO expensive!
I think if they just eased up onthe prices a bit this would be probably the best railway in the country! For someone like me though, this is a bit too pricey. Overall though I say one of the best I have travelled on!

Midland Mainline never ran to Stoke-on-Trent - that town in the Potteries is served by Virgin West Coast. Does the reviewer mean Burton-on-Trent? Same river, different County! MML did once spread its wings and reach Manchester but that was only for a year.

I'd rather walk then use Midland mainline ever again! My last trip with them to London was a complete nightmare!
