Disadvantages: poor service and food in the restaurant

My partner and i went to milan to watch AC Milan for his xmas present. I booked to stop at the ibis. we stayed for 4 nights and i have to admit it was worth every penny. I think we paid about £40 per night, the hotel was clean and the bar was nice. it was in a excellent location to get around milan. the hotel was walking distance from the train station. The down side to this was the restaurant in the hotel, i was quite expensive and very poor quality. ...
...was all i got, i didnt realise that you had to order and pay for side orders seperate. They were about £4. This ends up being quite expensive, but other than that it was a great little hotel. A budget base for exploring Milan

Advantages: cheaper than many in the area, clean, comfortable, easy access to sights
Disadvantages: bathroom not great, no restaurant

Warning - in red light district!!!

Advantages: good breakfast, handy location
Disadvantages: red light district, hotel split into 2 buildings

...a triple room. Hotel Berna fitted our requirements but it wasn't anything special. We arrived late to the hotel due to flight delays and were a bit worried about the neighbourhood while driving through it. Advantages: Clean and cheap-ish, close to main train station
Disadvantages: Not a great place for socialising
