The Devil's Due is the third book in Jenna Black's urban fantasy series about Morgan Kingsley an exorcist who is possessed by the King of the Demons.
Morgan Kingsley is not like other demon hosts or even like other humans. Morgan's biological father was someone who had been created as part of a series of experiments to breed the perfect host. Unfortunately for the demons who created him the experiment with him was unsuccessful and even more unfortunately for them Morgan was born. Morgan cannot be possessed like other humans because she is able to remain in control of her body while being possessed. This has made her the perfect host for Lugh, the demon king who is forced to hide ...

The Plaza Regency hotel, Sliema is situated at 251 Tower Road, or as the local street signs put it Triq it-Torri. It is seperated from its sister hotel The Plaza, by a road Triq San Frangisk. The two hotel are connected together by a bridge six floors above the street. This sounds weird but works quite well. The two hotels share a dining room which is on the sixth floor of the Plaza, and share a swimming pool which is on the roof (seventh floor) of the Plaza Regency.
Both hotels have several steps to climb to get from street level to Reception and in my opinion would be awkward for someone of limited mobility. Once inside, the reception area is spacious and has arm chairs and a TV. The staff here speak good English and are helpful. Both hotels have lifts which are in my opinion both slow and cramped. Fans of Due South have had to wait a very long time for the series to be available on DVD, but this is a box set worth waiting for. It contains every single episode from the three seasons of the show.
In season one we meet Benton Frasier, a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and a stickler for the rules and appropriate behaviour. Absolutely gorgeous, but apparently unaware of the effect he has on women, Frasier moves to Chicago (with trusty wolf Diefenbaker) to find his father's killer, then stays on to help Chicago cop Ray solve his cases. Towards the end of season one we discover that Frasier does understand the meaning of love, and his willing to give his life for it.
In season two Ray and Frasier are on the trail of criminals again, and there's hilarious guest appearances from Leslie Nielsen as a long-serving Mountie ...
