I was very pleased with this hotel (which we stayed at after being recommened to stay at it by a friend) The location is absolutely perfect everything you could want is around you. The hotel itself does the job, it is clean, well presented and the staf couldn't be more helpful. I would definately recommend this hotel.
THE HOTEL - The hotel when we were staying there was in the middle of being renivated, but this did not intervine with our stay. When you first arrive the hotel lobby is very well presented with many staff around to help you. Our check in was very quick and our room was ready for us as said upon our arrival. The reception is manned 24/7 so any problems that you have can be dealt with by the very helpful and polite staff. The room was of and adequate size and did the job for the amount of time that we actually spent in the room. Also a good quality bathroom with bath and shower, and cleans towels everyday. The room consisted of a double bed which was very comfortable with lovely squashy pillows, a flat screen TV with internet access, also a small safe which is very handy. The only thing it could have done with was a wardrobe as they was only a small cupboard for hanging up clothes. There was a bit of noise from time to time but to be expected when you are in such a noisy city.
They are very security concious in this hotel there are always a number of security guards walking about and unless you have a room key you cannot access any of the rooms as there is always someone at the lifts checking everyone before they are allowed to enter the lifts. For anyone who likes to have a little breakfast before heading out, a continental breakfast is served every morning on the 3rd floor.
THE LOCATION - This location was absolutey superb just a short two minute walk from times square. You are never far from a restaurant for any meal of the day ranging from fast food restauraunts to fancy restaurants, the Hard Rock Cafe is also located on times square. Also there are many bars around about the hotel for anyone who fancies a little drink. You can do the open bus tours, there are about 3 or 4 different tours that you can do, you can book these tours through the ticket people walking about in the street or there is also a ticket office across the street and one block away from the milford plaza. The bus stops for these tours are all between 1-5 minutes away from the hotel, one is situated across the street from thte hotel and there is a few round in times square.
There are many broadway theatres, there are at least 6 theatres situated arond this hotel for anyone who fancy going to see a show, which i would definately recommend. You can get to any of the sites that you would like to see very easily and although the roads always seem busy they actually move very fast. The hotel staff can always point you in the right direction and can help you with the best way to travel to where ever you want to go.
THE COST - When we were booking this holiday we actually thought it was going to be very expensive but we were actually pleasently surprised. We stayed for 5 nights and this came in at around £230, many other hotels that we looked at were at least double this price, so we thought this was very reasonable. We booked this online which in most cases you can get it slightly cheaper by doing it this way.
I would absolutely recommend this hotel, and when ever i go back i will definately be staying here.
