just two minutes drive from Dubai International Airport, and seven minutes from the center of town. Standing on its own spacious gardens, the hotel caters for both corporate and leisure travelers alike, with guest facilities including comfortably appointed guestrooms as well as a diverse range of culinary options at its well-renowned restaurants.
its own gardens. The hotel has two restaurants and bar providing a friendly and relaxing atmosphere. At the end of the day you can relax in the indoor swimming pool, gym and Turkish bath. All bedrooms are comfortable in design.
(+) Beautiful beach hotel in the most buzzing area of Dubai! (-) There is still construction surrounding the hotel, but everywhere has to start somewhere.
Advantages: Everything - a real experience hotel Disadvantages: Cost - A little too far from Town for easy shopping/eating out
...The Burj-Al-Arab (Arabian Tower) is Dubai and the UAE's answer to the landmark symbols of other countries, they compare it to the Eiffel tower (it's slightly taller by virtue of its mast) and other icons.
The Burj is said to be the world's only 7 star hotel - this is something that has to be taken with a pinch of salt, hotel stars are usually awarded by national tourist authorities and in my opinion are rarely an indication of quality or value for money. I'm not sure who awarded the stars to this hotel but in this instance they are completely deserved and then more.
From the moment we arrived at the airport we knew we were dealing with something special, the hotel's meet and assist "airport liaison" officer met us just before passport control - he took our hand luggage and walked us to the head of the queue, past the "priority...

...itself was buzzing with life even if it was late and once we got out of the doors of the airport we were met by lots of people with posters for the different hotels and they were all trying to find the people that they were meant to pick up. We had not arranged for a pick up but we found a guy with the Arif Castle hotel on a poster and we asked him if we could catch a ride back to the hotel. And that was not a problem at all. When we got to the hotel they had all our details from our booking at reisefeber.no and soon we could jump into bed.
The Arif Castle hotel
The Arif Castle is a 3 star hotel located in Bur Dubai. There is a description of the hotel on the following page http://www.ssdubai.com/uae/arif castle/hotel.htm but I’m not sure if I agree with all the stuff that is said about the hotel. The staff was polite and helpful...

Advantages: Dubai is a safe place with very good quality of life. There is universal brotherhood everywhere. Disadvantages: None for me, but the hot weather for tourists who are not used to this.
...Park, Jumairah Beach Park, The Creek Park, etc. The meadows transform the desert sand into cool and eye-catching lush green carpets.
Dubai International Airport is a very well managed and a most modern airport. Mostly all the airlines of the world operate in here. The facilities at the airport are vast and varied and it is one of the friendliest airports of the world. Once you land, the immigration and custom formalities take very less time and the officials at the airport are very friendly and helpful. There are taxis available at the terminal and hotels operate their buses to collect passengers. Car rentals are readily available at the airport, if you choose to drive. The airport has a Duty Free shopping area, which is one of the best in the world, and the range of shopping is very vast. Dubai has its own Airline, Emirates. Voted as one...

When we booked our holiday to a cabin Norway I made a fundamental error and miscalculated the time it would take to get from Oslo Gardemeon airport to the fjord area of Norway. With a distance of 293km (182 miles) I thought that we could easily cover the more
A lot can happen in a space of a few years but never more so than in Dubai; it's currently a massive construction site but in the nicest sort of way! The last time I visited Dubai in 2002, I stayed at Oasis Beach Hotel in Jumeirah. At that time the... more
