Advantages: Great day out, loads to see and do Disadvantages: Expensive entry fee, its closed now
Well the dome has closed... for the better or the worse is the question being asked. Well I went to the dome in its final days for the first (and last) time and I can honestly say that overall I think that it was a great day out and I am glad that I went.
For the last few years there has been constant press coverage on the dome, that was being run into the ground before they had even finished clearing the site to build it.
I think the main problem ... ...bad publicity, meaning that people are simply put off going. Any other attraction containing the same number of exhibits and attractions would be praised. However to be fair I do agree that far too much public money has been put into it.
Its not until you are actually standing next to the dome that you realise the true size of it and when you are inside it appears even bigger. It has been build with conservation and recycling in mind with every ...

Advantages: None that I can see Disadvantages: Too expensive, money better spent elsewhere, people dying on waiting lists, cut backs on prescribed drugs
What a load of poop! Since it's concept was created it has been headed for failure. I mean yeah the structure is cool and quite a feat but why did they have to fill it full of crap! The amount of money that has been ploughed into the Dome could have been much better spent. There are hospital wards closing and people dying because of lack of funding on the NHS and those twats we voted in to run this country are just paying money into projects to make ... ...when they finally close the dome?!?!?!?!?!... Someone will buy it and actually start making a good profit out of it by turning it into something brill! And why didn't the government do that I hear you all ask!! Who knows!
i have not been to the dome and do not wish to waste both time and money to go to it! Even if it is a great place to go surely building the Millenium Hospital would have made such a difference to all the massive waiting lists and ...

Dont Waste It Review ofMillennium Dome, Londonby
carolinesite
Advantages: Could be put to good use Disadvantages: Never worked
...They could call it 'The Millennium Athletics Training Arena' and budding athletes would have top class training facilities like an Olympic sized pool, diving area, running track, gymnastics area, cycling track and even somewhere to house rowing boats seeing as the river is right next door! Lottery money could be ploughed into it to pay for the interior and upkeep, as well as for first class trainers. Athletes would want to come from all over to train ... ...You could still get the public to come and visit and watch training going on for a small fee. I know I would visit it if I could see that. This could be just what this country needs for our sportsmen and women and will stop us all moaning about it because it would be used for something useful! ...

Advantages: The content was superb, especially the show. Disadvantages: Prices of tickets, food and merchandise.
...started were hilarious.
The Millennium Show deserves particular mention. This was overwhelmingly impressive. I really enjoyed the show, with the pyrotechnics, acrobats and its general presentation being first rate. I congratulate all those who took part.
One disappointment inside the Dome was the food and its price. These like the tickets were extortionate, despite the brochure telling you they were at, 'high street prices.' The merchandise at ... ...I bought no merchandise at all, apart from a model of the Dome that was going at half price (I visited around August, and expected visitor figures were down).
The major annoyance about the Dome was its, 'for one year only,' policy. Why for only one year? Now that for one is ludricous. If spread over perhaps ten years with frequent changes in the zones you would probably find that the Dome would do quite well. One thing I admire about the government ...

Advantages: Lots of attractions, foods, emotions Disadvantages: Tiring on the feet, a lot of reading, £20 too much
I have been meaning to go to the Dome since it opened, just to say I had been there. My partner sorted it out and we went! Got there just after 12pm. You need to make you own mind up about this - but here's my experience...
The place is big, spacious and warm ( a bit too warm in places) and there is so much to see. The Mind Zone and the Living Planet Zone were very good. Some zones - like the faith zone - require a lot of reading - not a lot of ... ...music - it lasts about 40-50mins - I can't remember exactly as I was wrapped!
The thing that I found is that it is not a publicity stunt - the whole thing revolved about us as human beings. I was particularly touched by the TALK Zone (when you first go in) where you see images of what happens when we talk - and images of when we stop talking... it is more than an advert for BT... There were other things that emotionally affected me as I went round ...
