I have been meaning to go to the Dome since it opened, just to say I had been there. My partner sorted it out and we went! Got there just after 12pm. You need to make you own mind up about this - but here's my experience...

The place is big, spacious and warm ( a bit too warm in places) and there is so much to see. The Mind Zone and the Living Planet Zone were very good. Some zones - like the faith zone - require a lot of reading - not a lot of interaction. The show was brilliant - colour, acrobatics and great music - it lasts about 40-50mins - I can't remember exactly as I was wrapped!

The thing that I found is that it is not a publicity stunt - the whole thing revolved about us as human beings. I was particularly touched by the TALK Zone (when you first go in) where you see images of what happens when we talk - and images of when we stop talking... it is more than an advert for BT... There were other things that emotionally affected me as I went round - I think it is knowing just what we are and what we have all achieved - it sort of tries to encapsulate this issue...

Time was short - and we missed out on some of the attractions - so I advise anyone thinking of going to be there at the opening and leave at the closing... Excellent disabled facilities too

I am glad I went - I was able to contribute to opinions/on-line surveys - which will become part of time capsules, etc. and eventually history...

Go expecting nothing is my advice - and then you may find that there is more to it. Use Air Miles if you have them to get £10 tickets!!! (but don't leave it too long)
