The Dome is probably the most expensive attraction the UK has ever had and in my opinion I think that It's well worth all the money, and before people even start to criticise it they should explore the Dome and they will find that it is truly wonderful.
Some people may say that the meaning of the Millennium, Christ's 2000'th birthday has been overlooked but that is not true as there is a very meaningful Faith zone which as well as dealing with other faiths explores 2000 years of Christianity.
My 5 Star rating of the zones I visited:
Work - ***** - Play on a massive football table, take part in many interactive activities, such as "get to work" - a table which you shake to guide a metal ball to "work".
Money - *** - See what a Million pounds looks like as you walk through a tunnel of glass with £50 pound notes in it totalling 1 million (The notes are stamped INVALID on the reverse)The Spend a million game is nothing special - all you do is walk around with a card and pressing buttons to buy something.
Millennium Jewels - **** - See the world's largest 203 carat pear shaped diamond, entitled "Millennium Star". The cost of this zone does not bear thinking about.
Faith - *** - Quite an interesting zone even to a person where the very mention of religion strikes boredom (me!).
Home Planet - ***** - Take a journey through the earth feeling the heat of a volcano, the wind of a tornado and the cold of a beautiful glacier.
Journey - *** - Stand next to Bond's Jetboat, and see how travel has developed over the years.
Living Island - ***** - Enter a world obsessed with enviromental protection and conserving resources. Play on "Enviromentally Friendy" Arcade machines and visit the indoor beach! Also test your strength with the hammer.
Play - ***** (my favourite zone) - Play many interactive games, such as "the light game", Make a jigsaw of yourself, and take on a computerised goalie at the penalty spot.
Body - ***** - Stand underneath a realistic, pumping heart and be amused by the joking brains.
The dome is out of this world!
Well worth a visit!
