An outrageous waste of public and lottery money! The bottomless pit we call the dome has so far sucked in some £850 million!! Doubtless there will be even more needed before someone has the courage to close it down. The expenditure equates to some £14 - £15 for every man woman and child in this Country. How many hospitals and schools could we have built with such a vast sum of money, or how much could Tony Blair have taken off the taxation on fuel?? This monstrosity will surely go down in History as Tony's Folly, yet Tony Blair, Peter Mandelsson an their cronies stoically refuse to call it a day, as it will mean losing face on their behalf! As a monument to British achievement, it is a fiasco. As a symbol of the new millennium, it has proved to be an unmitigated disaster! I for one, would give the heartiest ot 3 cheers if it disappeared off the face of the earth overnight!!
