I booked this hotel through a well known website and I decided to increase my budget compared to hotels I'd stayed in earlier in the week.
I still only paid approximately £100 per night and this proved well worth it.
The conceirage greeted up and made us feel very welcome.
At the check in desk the staff weren't the most helpful, but I think this was mainly due to a large amount of people checking in at the same time.
The lobby area of the hotel is fantastic, with a lovely seating area.
We were escorted to our room by a very kind member of staff. The room was very nice, a lovely view over New York and over the river. Bathroom was very nice and the bed was really big. The room was extremely clean.
We didnt get to try out the restaurant downstairs as it was a little bit too expensive for us. So we ordered in a chinese from a local take away. The hotel were fine with this and even provided us with cutlery when we phoned reception.
The destination of the hotel was not the best as it was quite far from the centre, but its surroundings were very nice and it was right next to the lovely UN buildings.
Its around a 20-25 minute walk to the centre of New York.
They also have leisure facilities on the top floor, which provided an amazing view of New York in the night, only thing wasthe pool was absolutely freezing
This hotel has a touch of class and I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here!
