, and bar/café, as well as the camping and touring caravan pitches are situated on the left hand side, along with some static caravans. On the other side, and further up the hill, lie more static caravans, and the farm "cottages". This was the area that we stayed in. You couldn't see or hear the main road from here.
ACCOMODATION
Parkers Farm offers 25 static caravan types for hire, which are graded A to G. In general, these are available for hire from Saturday to Saturday, but there are 2 caravans available for hire from Friday to Friday (or like us, from Friday to Monday). Unfortunately, this meant that we only had the "choice" of a type G van, which was 10ft by 28ft.
Now, I have to confess that I have seen a few mobile homes in my time. Not only have I stayed in a couple on holiday, but my first job was cleaning them on a Saturday ...

Britain's makes authentically detailed farm equipment models scale 1:32 There are tractors combiners and other vehicles plus animals for the farm. So to tend the animals, drive the vehicles we need some people. The people in this farm family group are about 5cms tall .Recommended for over 3 year olds.
This farm family mum, dad, girl and dog are dressed ready to work on the farm. They look a bit old fashioned really. They all stand on a base of brown mud plastic and all wear green wellies (except the dog who is not standing on mud but on his 4 legs.)

I fancied going away for the weekend but didn't want to go far or spend a fortune, I didn't even want to spend £100 a night for a basic hotel so I searched for guest houses in the lake district as we don't live far from there and the countryside is lovely. I couldn't find any vacancies so I suggested a caravan to my husband, he agreed as we both think it's great for children to be outside and they love it. I search the Hoseasons website and we decided to go on Friday after school and work etc and stay until Monday as the children were off school then.
